Taylor Vintners – Launch Event

Taylor Vintners are an international law firm based in Cambridge, London, Singapore, New York and now they were planning the opening of their new offices in Oxford.

Taylor Vinters do about 150 fund raising / start up events a year to support new businesses and their clients. They describe themselves as a ‘cool’ law firm.

Their marketing and events team invited over 100 of their corporate clients, partners and prospective clients to Frevd in the centre of Oxford for presentations, speeches and networking.

Creating an event brief

We worked with the marketing team at Taylor Vintners to understand what the purpose of their event was and what they’d like to get out of it.  We also discussed the experience they would like their guests to have at the launch event and so worked through timings, format and menu together to ensure the event came together in a way they wanted to.

Welcoming guests with great drinks

Working with the team at Frevd we served guests beers and cocktails as they arrived.  Many of Taylor Vintners guests were clients, partners or prospective clients and there was a lot of networking and meeting new people to be done.  As part of our briefing our hosts would walk the room and ensure that guests were well looked after, had a drink and understood a little about the event and who from the Taylor Vintners team they could talk to.

Serving delicious canapés

We put together a delicious selection of canapés and served guests as they arrived as well as before and after speeches.

Guests enjoyed seven different canapés with a balance of meat, fish and vegan choices.  They were served on wooden yew boards and our hosts walked around the room throughout the evening topping up drinks and ensuring everyone was enjoying the evening.

 

On the day

We worked with Frevd Oxford team where we are a preferred supplier of the venue and so we knew how timings and format would work best together.

We also worked closely with the marketing team in the lead up to the event as well as on the day.  The team had some new investors joining the evening and so we knew who to look for on arrival and help with introductions to the team.

We also worked with a videographer on the evening who captured the event on film as well as food preparation and service as a showcase for the Taylor Vintner internal communications activity.

7:45pm Serve canapes and networking

9:00pm Guests depart
